The premise

For any topic worth studying, there are ten books that the experts, practitioners, and thought leaders consistently point to. Not fifty. Not a hundred. Ten. TenReads finds them, annotates them, and puts them in one place.

Why ten?

Ten is enough to build real depth without becoming a reading list you'll never finish. It's a constraint that forces curation — every book has to earn its spot. If a list has filler, it's not a TenReads list.
